Mirror Project, Ecuador

This painting was done on a 3 meter wide mirror of a gorgeous private home in Ecuador. While the image of the mirror reflects the sunset, plants and beach infront of it; the painting on top of it depicts a serene underwater scene, creating a very strong visual effect. 

This large commissioned mural was created in a five-storey stairwell of a hotel in Sri Lanka. The entire stairwell was painted with a daytime sky, but at night the exact same blue sky transformed into a starry night sky with the help of UV lights placed all along the staircase. To achieve this, I had to paint a second painting on top of the blue sky, using imported transparent UV paints that are only visible under blacklight. The entire project took 6 weeks to complete.
